Supervision for Art Therapists
Joanna Flora is excited to announce she is now offering supervision services for art therapists working to obtain their ATR or LCAT. Joanna holds the ATCS Art Therapy Supervision credential, the highest credentialed offered for art therapy supervision.
Joanna Flora earned a MPS (Masters in Professional Studies) in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute in June, 2011. She obtained her Art Therapy Registration Board Certified (ATR-BC #12-045) in 2012 from the Art Therapy Credentialing as well as her New York State LCAT (Licensed Creative Art Therapist #001588). She earned a certificate in Developmental Disabilities from Rutgers University in November, 2016 and successfully completed the 35 hour clinical supervision certification course at ACAP, a NBCC- approved continuing education provider in January, 2017. Joanna is in good standing with all credentialing boards.
As a practicing creative art therapist, Joanna’s theoretical approach pulls from a variety of theories and approaches to best meet the needs of her clients. She employs and integrated approach that pulls from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, the Floortime Approach, and Solution-Focused theoretical orientations. As a supervisor, Joanna will be utilizing aspects from these approaches to best support her supervisees and assist them in developing their own orientation to use as guidance.
On-site and telephone supervision will take place weekly in one hour individual sessions at a cost of $100 per session. Payment is required at time of service and can be made in cash, check made payable to Flora and Associates LLC, or electronically.
